WHAT IS AMETHYST? Amethyst is a variety of quartz that is formed from molten lava. The classic color of amethyst is purple to lavender. There are rare varieties of this semi-precious stone that are almost black, and other varieties that are purple/white banded with Chevron Amethyst and Prasiolite, which is a green amethyst colored by its mineral inclusions. Amethyst is formed naturally and may be a geode, cluster, or single point.
WHY IT'S AWESOME? Amethyst gets its name from the Greek word, amethystos, meaning to be intoxicated and was worn by the Greeks and Romans to cure drunkenness. Ancient Greeks even had drinking cups carved from amethyst to combat drunkenness.
MYSTIC LORE, LEGEND & DISCLAIMER: Through the ages, crystals and stones have been collected and prized for their timeless beauty, for their rich history and even their potential spiritual and metaphysical properties! At Spirit Magicka, we love the idea that crystals may have mystical properties, but please be aware... nothing we sell comes with any sort of mystical guarantee! 😉
👉 Amethyst is believed to vibrate at an ultra high frequency. The geodes and crystals are said to help to purify the atmosphere and create clarity, protection, and balance energy. Single point crystals can be used for balancing. Place crystal points towards you to draw in energy and away from you to draw away energy. Amethyst crystals will fade if left in sunlight.
👉 In crystal energy work, Amethyst is said to be connected with spirituality. Amethyst is associated with the Third Eye (Brow) and Crown Chakra, the centers of intuition and connection with divinity. The chakra system is the energy network in the body that refers to nerve bundles and the organs in the human body.
WHERE IT'S FOUND? Worldwide. Brazil, Britain, Canada, East Africa, India, Madagascar, Mexico, Russia, Siberia, South Africa, Sri Lanka, United States, and Uruguay.
You get (1) one natural amethyst Fairy cluster.
Helpful Hint: The amethyst fairy clusters have a little white powdery appearance, but we found that you can polish these little clusters with a natural oil. We suggest something like olive oil, grapeseed oil or sesame oil. Coconut oil tends to turn white when it is cold so it is not the best choice. Just put a tiny bit of oil on the palm of your hand and rub the little amethyst cluster in it until it is shiny. Give it a little polishing with a cloth which also removes any excess oil.
