A stone with a secret glow.

Yooperlite point under UV light, its sodalite glowing in bright orange and gold sparks against violet stone

Under UV light

Ember-bright under a blacklight.

Switch off the lamp, shine a blacklight or UV flashlight on this point, and the sodalite scattered through it lights up in sparks of orange and gold.

Every point carries its own pattern of glow, so no two light up quite the same way.

Found by flashlight on Lake Superior.

Rockhound Erik Rintamaki was searching the shores of Lake Superior with a UV light when these grey stones began to glow in the dark. They are believed to have been carried there by glaciers from Canada, and collectors still walk the shoreline at night, UV lights in hand, sometimes spotting the glow from beneath the snow. The name comes from "Yoopers," the local nickname for the people of the region.

In crystal tradition, yooperlite is a stone of glow, discovery and transformation. It is said to stimulate self-confidence and self-acceptance and to help you recognize and express your feelings clearly, and its sodalite links it with the Throat Chakra and speaking your truth. Crystal points are believed to amplify energy, bring clarity and aid manifestation.

Crystals have been prized for centuries for their beauty and believed metaphysical properties; Spirit Magicka makes no guarantee of any mystical or healing effect.

Your point

Bring a little glow home.

Keep it on your desk, shelf or altar by day, then dim the lights and show friends the fire hiding inside.
