The stone

Swirls of green, polished to a point.

Malachite is a copper carbonate mineral, rich green and boldly banded. Its swirling patterns form naturally over millions of years through an intense copper-rich process deep within the earth, so every point carries bands of its own.

Soft and copper-rich, malachite takes exceptional care to cut and polish, which makes well-formed points increasingly rare.
