The love stone.
Rose quartz is known as the crystal of unconditional love of all kinds, the “Love Stone.” In crystal tradition, Madagascar rose quartz vibrates in alignment with the Heart Chakra, said to open its energy to flow for pleasure and love.
It is also known as “Star Rose Quartz”: when specially cut, it can show asterisms, the magical appearance of a star above the surface of the stone. It was discovered in 1912 in the Antananarivo Province, and while classic rose quartz is found all over the world, this formation comes only from the pegmatites of Madagascar, intrusive igneous rocks made of interlocking crystals. Its sister stone, Brazilian rose quartz, is found in Brazil.
Through the ages, crystals have been collected and prized for their beauty, their rich history and their potential spiritual and metaphysical properties. We love the idea that crystals may hold mystical properties, though nothing we sell comes with a mystical guarantee.
