Light slips into labradorite's layered structure and bounces back as a flash of color. On these stones that flash runs from soft lavender to deep royal purple, and it shifts and moves as you turn the stone in your hand.
Purple is one of the rarer colors labradorite shows. The smooth, domed cabochon cut lets light glide across the surface, so the flash is as strong as it can be.

The Stone of Mysticism.
Labradorite was first discovered in Labrador, Canada, and is now also found in Madagascar, Finland, Russia, Norway, Mexico, Brazil and parts of the United States. Its spectral colors have long tied it to mystics, storytellers and seekers of hidden knowledge.
In crystal tradition, purple flash labradorite is linked with imagination, transformation and visionary insight, and with the Third Eye and Crown chakras. Its violet shimmer is said to mirror an awakening inner light, and the teardrop form is believed to symbolize energy flow and intuitive direction. Many keep it close for meditation, journaling and divination.
